October: Easter Eggs, Parties, Basketball, Pumkins and Costumes

October was busy busy! Lots of random fun and family time. But what is more fun than coloring eggs in October? I submit nothing.
Holly, Keoni and Zachary

Happy Birthday Grandma Eileen! Greg's grandma had her birthday party with the family at Home Town Buffet. We love you Grandma. :)

Next, we celebrated our best friend Kinsey's birthday! We went to dinner and dancing downtown with a bunch of friends and had a really fun night... despite the pouring down rain.
At Kinsey's house before all the fun...
Me and my besty
Greg and I got her the best present. A Lego keychain of Ron Weasley from Harry Potter... ie. her future husband. Now she can put him in her pocket and always have him with her. haha

What are friends for?

Just a night at mom and dad's. Ricky, Holly, Keoni, Zachary, Greg and I playing a few rounds of Pit. There's nothin like having an excuse for yelling and acting like you're crazy... especially if it gets you the cards you want. Everyone won at least once.... oh yeah, except for me.

This was the funniest thing. Look at the way he is holding his cards. This is how he keeps them sorted. It was so funny watching him do this every round. Oh Zachary, you're so cute.

Here are some pictures from my work Halloween costume contest. I didn't have time to find a costume this year but I don't think I could have won anyway... This was a hilarious group this year.

L to R: Steve- a beautiful women, Dave- a voodoo guy, Annie- a swimming balerina, Jeannine- an old lady who lost her dog.

And this is Amanda- she is impersonating Dave... the VP. :)
A close up of Jeannine. She won! Her sign says "REWARD LOST PUPPY Call 555-7876"

Ricky, Holly and Keoni are playing community basketball this year. Here are Ricky's try-outs. GO BUBBA!
He was so quick doing push-ups!
Mom is queen of taking pics and videos on her phone. Hee hee We love you Mom!

Finally over.... tired and sweaty. My favorite part of the night... I had to leave before the family did and Ricky walked me out to my car. Even gave me a big hug in front of his friends outside. I love my brother. :)

PS- Can I adopt Zach? Such a little model.

Pumpkin patch and carving pumkins! Greg and I went to Lee Farms in Tualatin, OR to pick out our pumkins. It was the day before Halloween so there wasn't a lot to choose from but we sure got muddy, we did find the perfect pumkins, little squash, a strawberry rhubarb pie and cute little chicks. I wanted to take one home.

We spent Halloween evening with mom and dad and the kids. We just hung out and ate yummy chili and desserts.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC! Greg and I had the family over for family home evening to watch The Sound of Music and a recent episode of Oprah who interviewed the whole cast. Our family loves this movie and it was such a fun night watching it.

Sister's Night... minus two

Natalie and Holly came over tonight for some girl time! We made popcorn chicken and potstickers for dinner. I know that's a funny combo but it was good. We also indulged in some yummy treats Greg surprised us with. What a sweet hubby. :) We had a fun but relaxing evening... just snacked all night and watched tv. Nothing's better than laughing with your sisters. I love our silly jokes and the things we think are funny on tv. Can't wait for our next night together. We missed Britt and Tracy but I'm sure they're having fun together in Rexburg. Here are a couple pics to document our night 'in'.

Work, work and more work

Why is it without fail that Greg and I always have the opposite days off? Such a bummer. He's off today... I work. He works tonight... I'm off. I'm off Friday during the day... he works. He's off Friday night... I work. Can't I just get one full day with my baby? Big ugh. I guess it just makes those few minutes and sometimes just a couple hours before we go to bed so much better. I love spending time with my husband. Even if it's when we're both asleep... I'm still next to the man of my dream and I'll take that any day!
